Commissioners
The S-COMELEC Commissioners shall be composed of one (1) representative from each organization recognized by the USC on the basis of the following qualifications:
Enrolled with a total of at least fifteen (15) units, excluding P.E. and NSTP,
Must have a general weighted average of at least 2.50 or its equivalent, 80 for the LHS, SHS and
Not having been found guilty by the university of an offense punishable by suspension or debarment and must not have been a candidate for any elective position in the immediately preceding election.
The Commissioners, as one body, shall:
Uphold the Election Code;
Entertain all election complaints;
Penalize or disqualify candidates and/or political parties who violate this Code;
Warn the candidates and/or political parties of any Election Code Violations;
Provide guidelines for the implementation of this Code during the Orientation of Candidates;
Inform all students concerned of the scheduled activity of all COMELEC-related activities;
Encourage students vote;
Educate voters on the voting process to be used in the elections;
Certify qualifications of candidates; and
Perform all other functions and exercise duties as delegated by the chairperson or as provided by this code.
