“Hindi halos lahat na-cater ang tanong kasi ang time is super limited lang din.”

These were the words that Student Commission on Election (S-COMELEC) Chairperson Carlos Alexander Clavel stated as concerns from the student body were raised after leaving them unattended for answers from the recent open-door interviews.

The said interview was conducted via Facebook live last May 18, where each aspiring University Student Council (USC) showcased their platforms and vision for the next academic year.

However, due to the fast-paced nature of the said event, queries from Honorian viewers were overlooked, leaving them unable to adequately evaluate the aspiring candidates.

When asked by The Industrialist regarding the matter, the S-COMELEC explained that the reason behind the concern was due to the insufficient time they had.

They added, “Napag-usapan kasi, every candidates, 5 mins for their pltaforms and 3 mins per question, tapos 3 questions only kasi may oras kami na sinusunod.”

Meanwhile, the judicial body explained that unsettled students’ concerns will be accommodated as the election process continues.

“Rest assured that na ang mga tanong nila is maitatanong ulit nila sa miting de avance,” they affirmed.
