S-COM: Filing of candidacy for USC, LSC elections moved May 2-3
NEWS
With the temporary shift to online mode, the filing of candidacy for the upcoming University Student Council (USC) and Local Student Council (LSC) Elections has been moved to May 2 to 3, as per the Student Commission on Election (S-COMELEC) Head Commissioner DJ Kurl Laxa.
According to Laxa, the schedule was originally set on April 29 to 30, however, the decision to reschedule the filing period was driven by the need to provide more time for potential leaders to complete their requirements.
"But the executives decided na i-move siya to May 2-3 para rin mabigyan ng time yung ibang aspirants na i-kumpleto mga requirements," he added.
While the qualifications and prerequisites for candidacy remained the same, the S-COMELEC is still waiting for an approval to conduct the “filing and closed-door interviews in a face-to-face setup.”
Laxa also appended that this update is the only information he can provide at the moment, as the S-COMELEC continues to monitor the evolving situation.
